But in recent years cars have become the stars, and the auto industry has taken its place in Vegas. This week at CES, Ford CEO Jim Hackett gave a keynote talk about the future of urban mobility. Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda took a selfie with audience members after rolling out the carmaker’s adorable autonomous shuttle concept. Chinese Tesla competitors sprang up to great fanfare.
